    Compact room size can feel cramped!!! Limited dining hours hinder spontaneous meal options!!! The uphill walk from town can be exhausting, especially in winter conditions!!! Expensive extra charges may leave a sour taste!!!

    hotel is beautifully decorated, with delicious breakfast, and location is magnificent just next door to the excellent restaurant, longyearbyen, 180 degrees above the town, and center of longyearbyen. the double room is stylish and has a coffeemaker and a storage space. we would definitely stop here again as had a very nice time and loved the venue.

    We loved our time at this cozy lodge! We explored the amazing Svalbard wilderness, dog sledding on wheels with our kids. The food was superb, especially the breakfast buffet with its unbelievable seafood and pastries!

    In my kids' opinion, a little play area would be great.

    The cozy atmosphere of the room had a perfect reading nook by the window, ideal for unwinding after a day of adventures. The breakfast spread was varied and fresh, with local delicacies that fueled my mornings.

    The atmosphere and comfort was excellent. Very quiet, a homey feeling.

    Since there is only one flight out from Longyearbyen every day, the check-out on the day of departure should be more flexible, so that it could be postponed until 1 p.m.

    the breakfast was hearty and exceptionally good with food for all needs, the staff was efficient. location: the hotel was just off the funken lodge and accomodation of choice. spent our evenings in nearby svalbar, especially when it was very chilly outside. tbh, had a really really nice stay for two nights.

    Man at front desk told us to change money at Post Office but P.O. told us they did not change money. The bank told us they only change money one day a week. Would be nice for staff to know this

    good stay but meals didn't impress

    The service throughout the hotel was really good and the staff really were pretty good too. The view from our room was quite striking. Breakfast served a decent variety, although it lacked a few standout dishes that could've elevated the experience. We enjoyed great drinks and appetizers during dinner.

    Our main entrees were underwhelming and didn't meet our expectations.

    The oldest one in LYbyen, very, very, very cosy and homelike. Absolutely rich and delicious breakfasts. Tea/coffee avaiable free 24 H. Great value - afternoon norge vaffles from 16-18 with fireplace every day, avaiable free. Much lovely places for romantic dialogues. Fitness, bodybuilding and sauna avaiable free every evening. Welcoming staff. If You love Arctics, You must go to Spicbergen, and this Hotel is the best possible choise. The best time April, but other months You will find adventures and much thinks to do, too.
